MESSAGE FROM THE CHANCELLOR

Africa College of Theology (ACT) occupies a unique place in the city of Kigali, Rwanda and Central Africa at this time in history. In making a decision to study here, prospective students are committing themselves to an exciting odyssey of academics in the context of faith in Jesus Christ and to the inerrant Word of God which testifies to Him.

As Chancellor of the College, I would like to assure you of my commitment to serving our Lord and all of those He brings to us from around the nations and the globe. Our faculty, staff and Board of Regents share in this commitment, and desire that your time with us be one of academic growth and preparation for service in the proclamation of the Gospel (Romans 1:16).

You are welcome to visit Africa College of Theology as you contemplate God's will for your life. We provide a Bible-based, ministry-oriented collegiate education in an age of secular humanism and liberalism.

Africa College of Theology is committed to the great Reformation principles of Grace Alone, Faith Alone, Scripture Alone, and Christ Alone. We invite you to join us in an educational process as you prepare for God’s call upon your life.

In Jesus Christ,

Rev. Dr. Charles Mugisha Buregeya

Chancellor

Rev. Prof. Nathan H. Chiroma

the PRINCIPAL of the college

Welcome to Africa College of Theology, where Redemptive Servant Leaders Are Made!

The Africa College of Theology is one of the leading theological institutions in Rwanda and in the region. We have the vision to train redemptive servant leaders for the church and society.  Hence, we take seriously, our responsibility to mentor our students and offer them an experience of spiritual, intellectual, pastoral, and redemptive servant leadership formation.

Africa College of Theology is a place to learn, grow, discover, and become. As a redemptive learning community of students, scholars, and staff, we are on a journey together to discover our best selves, develop our skills and knowledge, grow our sense of purpose and faith, and be committed to grander service to the world around us.

As the principal, I can assure you that you will experience an extraordinary quality of instruction from our seasoned full-time and adjunct faculty members, most of whom are connected with a local church. Each of them will be committed to your learning and to their own continuing discoveries and research. This makes for a powerful combination. As you consider Africa College of Theology through our website, faculty, alumni, social media sites, and current students, please take special note of some of our distinguishing qualities that are mentioned recurrently by those who know us.

Our commitment to the Bible as God’s inerrant word; our excellent faculty are not just teachers but mentors; our diverse faculty and student body; our desire to equip, empower and mentor our students for effective local church ministry and beyond; our ability to prepare students for contextual academic excellence; our bottom-line commitment is to raise redemptive servant leaders who will impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ!

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our flourishing academic community of faith and scholarship.

Yours in His vineyard.
